Dept of Education: Flying Start

Television campaign produced for the Department of Education, Queensland Government to promote early childhood education. International research had shown that quality learning experiences, especially in the first five years, built the foundation for a child's future success in school and life. Early childhood education and care services provide opportunities for children to play and learn in safe surroundings. The campaign needed to highlight the importance for parents to take an interest in their children's early education and outline the facilities and resources available for parents throughout Queensland. The core idea outlines the need for parents to start the process at home by the simple act of reading and story telling. This set the direction for the campaign in which we hear a story told through a series of voices of parents. As each new voice joins the story we see a range of children/s faces looking to camera as if listening to the story.
